Graphic Art Award of the German-Dutch Graphic Arts Fair

In 2023 the German-Dutch Graphic Arts Fair will take place in Borken for the 35th time. The organizers - City of Borken and District of Borken - are looking beyond their region of origin and offer an international Graphic Art Award.

The prize is not limited to German and Dutch artists. The competition was open for all artists who work professionally in the field of artistic graphics (etching, drawing, woodcut, serigraphy, etc.) and live and/or work in the European Union (including candidate countries). Young artists in particular were encouraged to apply.

Graphic Art Award 2023

The winner of the Graphic Art Award of the 35th German-Dutch Graphic Arts Fair is:

Jannine Koch (1981, Gelsenkirchen, DE)

In her etchings, Jannine Koch deals with the fusion of technology and nature, and takes up current topics of biophysics or bionics. Her fantastic "insects" are hybrid creatures made of blueprints and natural forms.

The award ceremony took place during the Graphic Arts Fair.

In addition to the winner, the jury had previously nominated four other graphic artists:

Andrea Ackermann (1973, Halle, DE)

Karin Brosa (1978, Marburg, DE)

Ira Gvozdyk (1983, Kyiv, UKR)

Sjoerd Tegelaers (1987, Nijmegen, NL)
